The Trust is a nonprofit 501c3 organization established in 2002 in response to the threat to demolish the historic eighteenth century Jones Log Barn. The Trust's mission is to preserve and protect historic and cultural resources in Tredyffrin Township for the benefit of present and future generations and to educate the public about the preservation and protection of historic and cultural settings.

A major attraction planned for Tredyffrin Township is the rebuilt Jones Log Barn as an educational history center. The Trust has initiated a Capital Campaign with a goal of $400,000 to rebuild the historic Jones Log Barn. Visitors will experience the artifacts, as well as lectures, demonstrations, community functions and children's activities.

Many opportunities exist for you to help the Trust reach this goal. We are very excited about our successful spring 2009 fundraiser, In the Mood...Bluegrass, Blue Jeans and Bar-B-Que, which was held at historic stone barn at Sycamore Hill in Malvern. The wonderful evening was filled with great live jazz music, food, drinks and all the fun and laughter that happens whenever friends get together, and raised over $10,000 for the Jones Log Barn rebuilding effort. Rumor has it that the 2010 In the Mood event will feature 50's Oldies music and will be held in another stone barn -- this time in Berwyn. Start looking for your poodle skirt and blue suede shoes!

All proceeds from the In the Mood annual spring event, Fall and Spring Lecture series and annual Historic House Tour go to the rebuilding effort of the historic Jones Log Barn. The Trust has various levels of Membership and we ask that you show your support with the purchase of a yearly membership.

The Trust's 5th Annual Historic House Tour was held on Saturday, September 19, 2009. The House Tour committee continues to look for special historic house to showcase on this year's annual tour.
